Here are a couple of my favorite pictures of Jalapeno Sam Lewis. One is a photo of a poster that hangs in my study. A gift from Sam, it captures some of his whimisical nature, and his love of his little armored buddies.
Did you know he never flew them anywhere? Why not?

Dear Friends: My good friend Jalapeno Sam Lewis, who ran armadillo races and had fun everywhere, has passed away. He was a a gentle spirit who loved to make people smile. Sam will be missed by the thousands of folks that he met. I can't help but smile when I think of him.
